Nilfisk Acquires Kerrick

Kerrick

Nilfisk is a leading manufacturer and distributor of cleaning equipment throughout the world. It has sale organisations in 46 Countries, supported by a comprehensive and diverse manufacturing base spanning the globe. Nilfisk heritage based in Denmark dating back to 1906, has grown to now approach the billion Euros in sales worldwide and over that time Nilfisk has grown to add to its stable well-known brands such as Advance, Gerni, Alto, CFM and many others that are now well respected in the market place. Nilfisk also benefits from the strong financial backing of NKT Holding A/S, its ultimate parent and a company listed on the Copenhagen stock exchange that has achieved terrific growth.

Nilfisk’s strategic direction is to “Accelerate” growth, both organically and also through the acquisition of key enterprises that will add value to its offering through their success.

Kerrick is such a group of companies that offer:

A strong, recognised and respected brand in the Australian and New Zealand market place,

  •  A value proposition that involves a close and deep relationship with its customers,
  • An extended network of branches, both in New Zealand and Australia, and
  • An existing supplier network that supports its activities

We are therefore very excited to announce that Nilfisk and Kerrick owners have reached an agreement to cement the union of the two organisations through the acquisition of all the issued shares of Kerrick by Nilfisk. This follows the acquisition by Nilfisk in May of Smithson Equipment, a significant distributor of large cleaning equipment in the Queensland market.

What it means for Kerrick is:

  •   Eventual access to a broader product range
  • Expanded availability of supply
  • The strong financial backing of a worldwide Group.

Nilfisk’s aim of consolidating its place as a significant player in the cleaning equipment market in both Australia and New Zealand continues unabated, and these recent acquisitions are testament to our resolve to march on in that path.

Gilles Létourneau

Acting General Manager and Operations Director – Nilfisk Australia and New Zealand
