Tearing It Up At Bathurst 12 Hour - Kerrick Sports Sedan Drivers

BATHURST 12 HOUR OUR BOYS SHOW THEM HOW IT'S DONE

Kerrick Sports Sedan Series competitors Phil Crompton, Michael Robinson, Shane Bradford and Shane Woodman set their rivalries aside and teamed up to take part in the 2015 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour race.

Starting in 43rd position (out of a field of 50 competing teams) the Kerrick Sports Sedan crew not only managed to complete the gruelling race but worked their way up into the 29th position. Moving an impressive 14 positions up the field over the competition the team kept a good pace with Phil Crompton setting the team's fastest lap time of 2:18:8169.

Racing a Mazda RX8 GT the team competed against some of the world’s best drivers in vehicles produced by Mercedes-Benz, Bentley, Aston-Martin, Audi, Ferrari and more. Nissan however was the star of the show winning the competition for the first time since 1992.

Filled with the usual Bathurst battle of wills, the competition was particularly fierce in the last round with a safety car intervention causing a spine tingling 15 minute sprint to the finish between the winning Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 (Chiyo-san, Wolfgang Riep and Florian Strauss), the second place Audi R8(Vanthoor / Marco Mapelli / Markus Winkelhock) and third place Craft-Bamboo Aston Martin (Mucke, Alex MacDowell and Darryl O’Young).

If the grit and determination the boys showed at this year’s Bathurst 12 Hour is any indication of how this year’s Kerrick Sports Sedan Series will shape up, then we’re in for a hell of a ride. View the 2015 Kerrick Sports Sedan Series Calendar Here.
