Building Wash Services Ltd (BWS) was established in 2009 and since then has become one of the leading commercial and industrial building wash down firms in the Auckland region. Their expertise lies in removing dirt, grime, salt, mould, lichen and moss from building exteriors including hard to reach areas so that surfaces are left looking clean and refreshed.

The accumulation of dirt on a building from air pollution will accelerate its deterioration and can lead to construction manufacturers voiding warranty if necessary cleaning and maintenance work hasn’t been carried out properly. BWS’s success lies in their ability to provide a cost effective and professional cleaning service that helps to save customers money on maintenance and repairs. Their use of cherry picker equipment also helps to reduce the health and safety risks associated with working at height on ladders and scaffolding and also speeds up the pace at which work can be carried out which means less disruption for the client.

Since their establishment in 2009 Kerrick has custom built four high pressure water blasting systems for BWS to suit their various cleaning needs. As a result of continued growth and their positive experiences with Kerrick equipment in the past, BWS approached Kerrick again to custom fit a boom truck (their fifth unit) with a purpose built water blaster.

Kerrick fitted the truck with a powerful Lombardini 1400 series silent pack engine and two belt driven Italian Interpump pumps operating at 3000psi at 21 l/min (ideal for dislodging a removing moss, grime and lichen). It also came with three hose reels, one low pressure reel to fill the water tank and two high pressure hose reels that allow two operators to work at the same time (speeding up the time required to finish a job). All of this along with the water tank was mounted onto a modular skid that was bolted into place. In addition Kerrick supplied all the guns, lances and accessories required to carry out their daily building wash down work.
