HELPING FARMERS CLEAN UP
A dairy farmer based in Mokatua in Southland required a heavy duty drain cleaner for use cleaning drains and field tiles around the farm. Kerrick has a strong background in manufacturing and supplying agricultural units to order and consequently was tasked with building their unit.
Kerrick built a galvanized trailer unit with a 1100L tank allowing the farmer to easily move around the farm without continually needing to stop and refill the tank. The drain cleaner had a GX 690 Honda engine (24HP) and a Hawk Pump running at 1740 RPM to get the extra liter-age. The unit operated at 2000 psi with a flow of 47 l/min.
As per the farmer’s request the drain cleaner came equipped with a wash down gun and a manual hose reel fitted with ½" thermoplastic hose (120m). The hose reel has since been upgraded to a hydraulic reel in order to save time and improve efficiency.
