MAKING ROOF CARE MAINTENANCE EASIER
A leading roof care and roof restoration company in Auckland approached Kerrick in search of a compact, easy to manoeuvre pressure washer that could blast away moss, lichen and bird droppings.
A member of the New Zealand Roofing Association, they prided themselves on their reputation and needed roof wash equipment that both performed well and was practical to handle.
Kerrick built the firm a heavy duty system mounted on a trolley with a roll frame to protect the machine from possible damage. The pressure washer trolley was fitted with a single caster wheel in the front, two wheels at the back and a large rear handle to allow easy manoeuvrability in difficult to access areas. It featured a powerful 16hp Briggs & Stratton Vanguard motor coupled to an Italian Hawk pump putting out 3000 psi at 21lpm. In addition this pressure cleaner featured a detergent injection system, allowing the firm to treat roofs with a moss control detergent to speed up the cleaning process and help prevent moss, mould and lichen building up in the future.
The pressure washer was also fitted with a 40 litre header tank to ensure consistent flow of water and protect the pump from overheating due to pressure fluctuations that can occur when connected to water mains.
